How Will V-Series Affect Budgetfighting?

I'm going to assume you've already become aware that Cardfight is getting a reboot, dubbed V-Series, which is implementing set rotation and supporting multiple formats. The new anime will be based off of the manga, and the new Standard Format will only give players access to cards in the new V-Series. I could ramble on, but the information regarding the reboot has been revealed by Bushi here, and other content creators have covered this news as well. Instead, I'm going to instead discuss what the reboot means for budgetfighting and this blog.

Most importantly, Budgetfight will halt all budget deck coverage until the beginning of V-Series.

Considering a vast majority of our audience needs to invest their smaller budgets wisely, investing in G at this point is extremely questionable. Standard will be the most likely dominant format after just a few sets, and G-Era cards are an extremely poor investment. Premium isn't going to be budget friendly, and will be immensely difficult for newer players to enter.

My Thoughts: Fenrir vs Amaruda

After Set 11 dropped, one of the more controversial topics has been whether Fenrir or Amaruda are the main ride for a Revelation deck. I wanted to quickly chime in with my opinion, hopefully giving everyone a good view on both arguments, and show why I think as I do.

The Different Types of Players in Cardfight

So I’ve been meaning to address this for a while. I’m going to give everyone my thoughts on the different types of players, and what “fun” really means. It's a controversial subject to the general community, and a lot people probably won't agree with me, but here I go.

In the general community, there are many myths and misconceptions about a player and their personality because of what deck they play and how they play it. Sometimes it’s easy to hate on someone because they’re a “meta scrub” or “play to win”, but it is toxic to the community and usually sprouts from the assumption that a person is playing a meta deck only to win.
I’m going to explain this more, but first I want to show everyone this. It is made for MTG, but is just as relevant to Cardfight because the players usually fall into the same criteria.

Current State of the Market: Are Budget Decks Dying?

Instead of making another deck profile as usual, I’m going to make an opinion article on the current secondary market. The secondary market, for those of you who may not know, is the places players can get singles from other players and/or shops. The secondary market also basucally decides their trend in prices. I'll start off by saying this: currently, the market is garbage. Cards prices are inflated to kingdom come and buyouts are becoming increasingly common by places/teams to increase card prices price for personal gain. Because of this, budget decks are dying. I don’t mean to alarm anyone, especially because most of my individual deck profiles have been dirt cheap, because they are hyper-casual, but there are still red flags that everyone should be seeing. I’ll explain why I think this and touch on how it can be fixed.

My Thoughts: The New Restriction List

Now that the new restrictions list for English has been finally released, I thought that it would be a good time to put in my opinions and thoughts on the new banlist. Time Leap took a hit and Seven Runner's now close to unplayable if things don't go right.

The New Changes to the Restriction List are as Follows:

Tick Tock Worker : Limited to one per deck and cannot be used as First Vanguard
Steam Battler, Ur-watar : One per deck
Seven Seas Apprentice, Nightrunner : One per deck and cannot be used as First Vanguard
Lizard Soldier Conroe : Loses his limited status and can be now be used as the First Vanguard

My Thoughts on G-Guardians and the 16-Card G-Zone

As the release of Fighter's Collection 2016 draws near a new mechanic shows itself! G-Guardians! G-Guardians are really good and about everyone thinks so. They are a great defensive tool and help hit Generation Break faster. They're really well designed and I'm not really going to say much about G-Guardians, but the next topic is going to take a bit of discussion.
