Budget Deck: Dimension Police (Metalborgs)

I already have 3 Dimensional Police Decklists... Wow.

Either way, going into the blog, I'm gonna be making a Metalborg Budget deck. As always, the expensive Star card in Metalborg is~~~

Sin Buster, Ur Buster! LEGION!!!
Sin Buster. The card that gives a Glory skill whenever it's power is 30k or above, including boost. And it has an even better second skill, that draws whenever Sin Buster's 20k attack or higher hits. Do you know how useful drawing is? That +1 is really powerful, especially since it's basically guranteed that this guy's attack will hit unless your opponent is at 5 damage. And this guy costs...

$16-20. Oh, okay.

Sin Buster's defenitely not fit for a budget deck.

However, people who want to build a Metalborg deck, rejoice, for Sin isn't the only Metalborg ace around here!

Metalborg, Dryer... Waitno.
Metalborg, Drion, is another Ace that Metalborgs can use. As I said in the Shadow Paladin post, never underestimate a consistent 30k 2 crit attack. NEVER. Also, while the second skill isn't as great as Sin Buster's +1, that extra +3k also counts toward the 30k of the crit unlocking skill. So you can have a 7k booster behind Drion and continously attack for 30k and an extra critical. And do you know how much this guy costs? It costs not even $1. Wow. People, if you wanna build good budget decks, then you need to know how to keep an eye for these "Less than $1 Key cards!"

Grade 3

You got a D in your test.
Firstly, obviously you'd want 4 Drion and... Well, as much as I want to run Sin Buster for that draw engine, it's expensive, and there's a more solid option of a secondary Grade 3. There's Barrengrader, which can be counted as extra copies of any Legioning Metalborg. Plus that extra RG skill is amazing. Soulblast 1 and +2k, as an ACT skill. Amazing. What a great card. Plus it gives +3k to the ridden card.

Grade 2

Dryon has this guy's face.
So, for the Grade 2 lineup, there are quite a few options. Firstly 4 Lionetter is a must, as Drion's mate. Plus it's a very useful 12k attacker. Go four or go home. Either way, there are still other options, like... Let's see, Russell Blizzard. It can tank up your Dryer and make it go up to a 36k 2 crit attack. Either way... Aside from those two, there's the option of Ur Buster. It's actually good. I mean, +4k and a +1 if the attack hits. If you play around with a Barrengrader in the RG and continously re-legion again and again, then Ur Buster at the field should produce an unbelievable beast. Then... Magmafork? I didn't try out Magmafork so I dunno yet.

Grade 1

The Flavor Text is just...
Now now, there are a few options for Metalborg Grade 1. There's 4 of X Blaise, which you need to run. Just... These Kay clones are amazing, in no questionable way.

Then there's a few other options, such as Mist Ghost to make a tank Vanguard, Yunbot for even more pressure and an actually worthy wash. If it doesn't hit, this deck doesn't use many CBs so it's fine. Then, there's Hammerhel for defensive measures, but I don't really recommend it. Death Blade can power up even more, and if called early game, it can be used to rush the damage and rush the drop for Legion. Black Doctor? Nah. I mean you have enough stuff to hit 30k.

Also since the PGs are expensive you might wanna consider getting about 1-2 Quntet Wall.

Grade 0

What about me? "No."
Whenever someone builds a Metalborg deck, one question always comes up. Blackboi or Loco Battler? Hmm... good question. I originally thought that this was the same as asking "Goyusha or Daimagnum?". I mean, they're literally the same thing!... Not. For Drobos, Daimagnum works better, but for Metalborgs... We already have enough power adders, and Blackboi gives instant-Legion if you ride Lionetter. Legioning while your opponent is at Grade 2 is really good. You don't even know... And with that soul, it makes Barrengrader easier to spam. The CB cost? No, don't worry. After all as I said, nothing much uses many CBs in this deck.

I will fix you human...
With chemicals.
Then the trigger lineup. A while ago I would have suggested Rainbow because Metalborgs didn't have anything else, and Kilika's skill is actually worth using. But now, we have a useful Metalborg-restricted Kilika clone that can also give the extra power to the RG, making an 18k Magmafork. So as of now, I'd recommend 8 crit 4 draw 4 heals. What? Draws? Oh yeah. If you choose to run Blackboi then draws. Otherwise, You can go Stands or Crits or whatever you like.

Grade 4

So as I said, you need a finisher in any deck. So here you go! Omega is a great finisher that can be used at 4 (Because it's cheap as hell) then Heavyduke is another finisher... that costs $20 or something. Ookay just run 1, since if you played with Dryon right, once should end the game.

Decklist:
Note: I highly support building your own decks and doing your own testings. Please do not straight out use this deck, but use it as a base to start and spread out and make your own Version.

Grade 0
Grade 1:
Grade 2:
Grade 3:
Grade 4:

Effectiveness: 5/10

Price: $40-50

Competetive: Maybe

Final Words: So the deck's consistent critical is something to be feared, and the power stack potential is amazing. Omega is great and the deck should function on it's own (a.k.a. Autopilot). It should be up for competetive play, but I can't gurantee anything.

  1. When you mentioned Blackboi letting you legion when your opponent is at grade 2, I had a flashback to Team League a few months ago. This Metalborg player used Blackboi when I was at grade 1. *shiver*

    1. I should probably mention that it was into Sin Buster and he pumped it up to 30k for the Glory skill.

    2. Yeah, I used to diss Blackboi for Locobattler being better until that happened to me... I won that game because my opponent attempted to have fun with Barrengrader abuse, but meh.
