Celestials have a lot of control over the damage zone and can deck-thin to the point that there are 10 cards left in the deck on the second to third stride turn. Refros-looping at that point with a full field of Broken Hearts and Mel'ejals gets... very, very deadly. The deck can also tank to kingdom come with the massive amount of heal recycling. Now then, let's see what this deck's got in store for us!
Grade 3
So the lynchpin Grade 3 is Batrael. Great deck thinning skill and free plus off of Legion. Also speeds up her own Legion, so great.
I recommend Ramiel as the secondary Grade 3, but if you don't think you can get her it's fine. If you can't run Ramiel you can choose between Malchedael, Hellm, and Zerachiel. They make good power columns in case you can't get a Refros loop going.
Grade 4
Run as many Gavrail and Raphael as you can reasonably get. After that it's pretty easy.
Mikhael is a nice first stride. Cheap, easy +1. Raziel for the crazy power columns with Broken Heart and Mel'ejal. That's honestly all you really need. It's not necessary to fill out your G-Zone, but if you want to have it fleshed out fill the rest of the slots with Uriel, Madew, and Blizza
Suriel's pretty cheap, so run 3 of her and an Orfiel for your G-Guardians. Dizmel's also great to protect your Broken Hears and Mel'ejals(which everyone is going to target for attacks)
Grade 2
*Mariel |
There's the 12k Subclan Beater, but we have Hael so no need for her. Hael is also Batrael's mate, but if you prefer Asmodel go for it. Definitely use Asmodel if you chose Malchedael as your backup.
Sariels if you have her, but Nociel made her shoot up in price so yeah. Treatment Nurse as well if you want some rescue pressure.
Grade 1
Emergency Pegasus to deck thin and place units you need face up in the damage zone. Then PGs ,obviously, and a Quintet or two to speed up Legion.
Narell has a lot of utility behind her. Staple in any Celestial Deck. Maybe even in non-celestial decks.
LB Enabler. 10k Subclan Beater.
Grade 0
All Hail Lord Fridge! |
the job done.
For triggers, four heals obviously. Sunny Smile if possible, but not a necessity. And Asbeel for deck thinning and speeding up Legion.
Until Refros gets hit by the banhammer in English(if ever), we're gonna abuse the hell out of it at four. Surgery Angel is great if you want the rescue checks.
Decklist:
NOTE: This is only an example decklist and should only be used as a base. I recommended that you create your own decklist through your own testing. I found this decklist to fit me, but it is up to you to find a decklist that fits you.
Effectiveness: 7.5/10
Price: $55-60
Competitive: Maybe
Final Words: While it's no Nociel or Gavrail, Celestials are a great choice if you want to play Angel Feather on a budget. I highly recommend this for casual and maybe even competitive play. While it's less consistent than the meta Angel Feather builds at the moment I think that Celestials still pack almost, if not just as much, punch as Nociel and Gavrail.
Anyhow, see you on the next one!

I've got to say I've been trying this on CFA and this is such a fun deck, definitely going to get
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!
DeleteIf I were to make this deck going more towards a 8.5-9 what would you all suggest? I'd love to see how strong this could actually get.
Delete
DeleteDefinitely add Seabreeze, G4 Nociel, and Raphael to the stride lineup. Then maybe 2-4 G1 Nociel, Celestial sentinels, and Sunny Smile. Anything to add more consistency to the deck will be great additions, which was the problem o faced when playing this deck.
Awesome thank you so much!
DeleteNo Problem!
DeleteThe decks seems to not need to use any stride fodders
ReplyDeleteNope. Doesn't need them at all. Actually a bit of a hindrance if you do.
Deleteis pokkur good in this build if so which card should i take out!
ReplyDeleteNo. Unlike Nociel, Celestials desperately need the soul and can't spare any.
Deletewhich deck is better 'Nociel', 'gavrail/Nociel' or pure 'Gavrail'?
ReplyDeleteWhile Nociel can plus and draw like a madman, I think Gavrail is stronger due to the fact that it utilizes Rescue better. And rescue checks are broken
DeleteYour deck is amazing, it has good consistency/flow but can lose it if misplayed. The deck can make outstanding power columns and has excellent control over the damage zone. However in my opinion this deck is not utilizing its full potential and has some flaws... I would tech out 1-2 broken heart and replace it with cards that provide more consistency. The grade 1 line up seems solid and for the grade 3 line up you've stated that you run the legion (u don’t say!) and for the secondary grade 3 you recommended running ‘ramiel’ which in my opinion is very inconsistent. The deck is already slow as it is and that card slows the deck down by heaps. Also in the meta legion are easily countered by g guardian and running ‘Ramiel’ is practically saying ‘I’ll let you win!’ Instead I recommend running Hellm. This card is amazing! 1) It pressures your opponent. 2) Great in early game. 3) I could list more but I’m a little tired (Sry xD) Anyways that is the card I recommend. For your Grade 4 I think you should only run at max 1-2 celestial and if you really love the card then run it at 3 (keep in mind the average amount of times you would use celestial would be 1) And instead run 3-4 raizel since he’s great in you know a budget deck. Oh yeah and run suriel at 1-2 because its not as good as it is in a gavrail deck. Now onto my request could you do a Budget rescue deck! Lol your probably like wtf or not xD. Anyways the grade 3 lineup could be 4x Retractor, Sarakiel and 4x Requiem Pegasus! Basically what I’m trying to say is beside the fact that gavrail is in the deck, the rest of the rescue units are cheap as hell. Anyways thank you for reading this comment and your hard work in posting deck list. Also the fact that you even playtest to check how well the deck works. That’s all for today!
ReplyDelete-Cardotakudesu (jks I’m just some random guy xD)
I did say that Hellm was an option outside of Ramiel. In my testing I just prefered using Ramiel to breakride for an extra soul for a second Raziel. I know that it seems sorta dumb, but there's no other way of getting soul(outside of Hael, which is on-hit, and re-riding Batrael... which I'd rather not do.)
Delete4 Celestial Stride is just to take up space. 4 Raziel doesn't particularly work, due to lack of soul. Maybe 3, but not 4.
I'd swap two Broken Hearts for Sariels... But we all know how much Nociel made it spike.
And I'd rather use Suriel. Even if it's not as good as it is in Gavrail, it's still great. And better than... Oriphiel...
so basically its a better deck gavrail/nociel? or just gavrail?
ReplyDeleteWhen not playing budget, Nociel and Gavrail are better no question.
Deletehow does a limited refros affect this deck and why not run zerachiel or sariel?
ReplyDeleteSariel was expensive at the time of writing and is still around $4.
DeleteZerachiel is too slow and too weak nowadays.
Limited Refros doesn't hurt it excessively. You just have to play smarter.
Alright, oh and since refros is limited would you still run him and would you replace the other 3 slots with stands or crits?
DeleteRefros is way to good/valuable to take out, even if limited to one. I, personally, would replace the item asked worth stands.
DeleteWill this post for celestial be updated since GBT09 is getting a bit more celestial/generic angel feather cards
ReplyDeleteIs it viable to run Batrael and her mate in a nociel deck? Can't find any G3 Gavrails to use for backup...
ReplyDeleteSorry about late reply. Was a bit busy.
DeleteIf you can't get Gavrails, I recommend just getting 4 Nociels and no other Grade 3. If you really need a backup you could use Batrael, but I honestly would just go a different G3 or just 4 Nociel
What different grade 3 would you suggest?
DeleteSorry about the really late reply.
DeleteFor backup, you honestly have a bunch of options. A bunch.
Retractor Serakiel, Requiem Pegasus, Batrael, Malchadiel, and Phaleg are my suggestions. Of those, I'd probably recommend using Malchadiel or Phaleg.
