Even girls can play Bloodball with the big boys. |
And since everyone underestimates Spikes they're all cheap as hell.
Let's begin with the best Grade 3 that Spike Brothers has ever gotten: Dudley Jessica. First off, her Generation Break gives any Dudleys in the front row +2000 power in the front row. During either player's turn. The 13k defensive number is really good and gives Spikes an easier time defending after their all-out turns. That's great by itself. Her stride skill is even better. When a Dudley strides on top of her, she can call out any Dudley from the deck at no cost and give it +5000 power. Call out any Dudley at no cost. Free plus is just great, even if it's pretty limited. And she's a Rare. Perfect for budget.
Anyhow, let's get into the blog!
Grade 3
First off, Bad End Dragger's the most amazing breakride in the game and also gives you access to Good End Dragger. It's about $10, but it's definitely worth the money. If you can't get it, it's perfectly fine.
Then, there are the other Dudleys. Dudley Emperor is great for ending games, while Dudley Lucifer is perfect for strong offense every turn. Both are fine choices, in my opinion. Then there's our utility Grade 3 Jelly Beans, which can send himself back into deck for any Grade 2 or less Dudley. It's pretty great to set up early offense and fix misrides.
And there's always the classic Juggie Maximum!
Grade 2
Brakki MVP! MAX OUT NO MATTER WHAT! Then Dudley Mason or Monty as Jessica targets. Mason also applies good pressure, both early and late. Devil Summoner for RNG free plusses. There's also the GB 12k, which is awesome with Dudley Geronimo.
If you have Wink Killer Misery, then perfect. Use it.
Grade 1
Perfect Guard's aren't a problem. Say hello to Milly! Rare PGs are always great. Then 3-4 Stride Fodders.
Dudley Phantom and Dudley Daisy are great Jessica and Jelly Beans targets, but definitelydon't use Dan. Takes up waaaay to much counterblasts in a deck that can't afford to spare any of it.
Wonder Boy's a good vanilla target for Mecha Trainer. If you can get your hands on him get a few Reckless Express.
Grade 0
For Spikes you have two choices: Mecha Trainer or Mecha Analyzer. Mecha Trainer because Conroe is broken and Mecha Analyzer for some more offensive pressure when needed.
For triggers, run AT LEAST 4-6 Draws. If you don't, you'll be running out of resources soooo fast. The rest of the slots go to Crits and Heals.
Grade 4
Geronimo! |
Flash Bruce sucks, but what else do you have? Also, any Miracle Ace and Picaro you can pick up will be great additions. Fill the rest of the slots with Cray Elementals. Especially Blizza, who can enable Jessica's GB2 and hit like a truck late game(if it ever gets to that).
Decklist:
NOTE: This is only an example decklist and should only be used as a base. I recommended that you create your own decklist through your own testing. I found this decklist to fit me, but it is up to you to find a decklist that fits you.

Competitive: Yes
Final Words: Spike Bros' rush is so, so strong. To the point that, outside if Angel Feather and Chaos Universe, nobody will be able to survive after 2-3 turns. It's powerful, it's fun, it's perfect for both competitive and casual, and best of all it's cheap. Definitely a deck that I would personally build. If you're running particularly low on money, you could just cut the Blizza and Flash Bruise and just run Dudley Geronimo and an Atmos. It'll be fine, trust me. They won't survive past the second Dudley Geronimo.
Anyhow, see you in the next one!

I can vouch for Dudley Jessica, her 13k defense is amazing, being to wall multi-attacking decks is pretty damn good. Jessica's defense can shutdown aqf plays, spica plays and etc. It makes opposing player have to plan around and building numbers to hit a 13k Jessica once her GB2 is active.
ReplyDeleteGood ol' crossride era. And you can't forget about that free, quality plus :D
DeleteThis is a very good deck profile, a decent one for a spike bros especially and I have a G2 question would heave Wheeze work?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, no. There aren't enough ways to trigger it's charge to make it worth running.
Deletefair enough
DeleteI hope that you're planning to update this deck with the new cards coming out for Dudleys in G-BT09. Seems like a deck that was lacking a tiny bit of support and this could help it out :D
ReplyDeleteThe Dudley stuff isn't too amazing, but Ingram and Jetter are definitely gonna get a few spots. How Dudleys are going to perform is all going to hang on the new stride Dudley Caligula. We'll be waiting until then!
