Budget Deck: Gold Paladins (Liberators)

Tachiagare, Boku no Bunshin!
Liberators, the "clan" that superior calls from the top few cards of the deck. People complain that this clan is Lackluster and needs luck. And while this is true, it isn't going to a long extent.

Gold Paladins have the effect of gaining effects whenever a RG is called from the deck, powering up from the number of Rear-Guards, etc.

So firstly, the unit we have to talk about is Prominence Core. My god this is an amazing card. The Legion skill is just there, your real point is that second skill. You can CB1, retire 1, to check the top 4 cards and call a RG. This is a perfect effect to fix your bad calls (Called a Grade 2 to the back row with Aglo) and consistently call a RG every turn. It means that Bruno powers up, you get a potential crit effect, etc.

Grade 3

I am the Core of my Flames...

Then we have the other Grade 3 options. Personally I can't afford anything but Core, and since I don't really like anything else, I just run 4 Core. But if you really want to run another Grade 3... Let's see, Percival should fit the bill,, since he has a good effect, AND he comes from a TD! You'll want to buy 4 Trial Deck 16: Divine Judgment of the Bluish Flames to build this deck, so it's just great. Other options? Eh... Let's see, Coil is an option, but it's not really reliable as much as people think. Then Gancelot Zenith is an amazing option. I mean look at that art! It's so Sweg... Err, excuse me. Either way, Zenith is great, since he's the second best "individual" finisher (Best Combined finisher? Blaster Blade Liberator + Monarch).

Although it's a bit expensive compared to the other guys above there, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred is a valid option. Consistently hitting for 16k alone is great, and combining his Limit Break with Bruno is amazing. When G-BT03 comes out, Brennius can help you hit the Limit Break Freaking every turn. Can you see how ridiculous a 3/4/3 stage attack every turn is? With pressure?

Hell, even the original Liberator Alfred is viable in this deck. Hitting for 21k is again, great. The second skill is a bit CB heavy, but still.

Margaux can sorta be considered the fourth best finisher (Third? Probably Round Table Alfred)

I guess Wolves work.

Grade 2

So firstly, you need to add in Aglo. Even if he's expensive, you should buy a TD or something... to get at least 2. 2 Should work just fine, but recommended is 3. Best is 4.

Blaster Blade Liberator is a horrible choice. Don't run him. If you wanna run him, then run him for the unflip with Balan, but there are better options.

Heli is a good pressure unit, and can act in the place of Aglo. If it does hit, then you can use him for early game rush.

Brennius, in theory, is great. Unflip mass is awesome, and that power stack potential is real. I'll just recommend him here.

Grade 1

If you run a LB unit, obviously Bright Ubicorn (Wut)... Or not. You have a lot of other options for Grade 1s.

Josephus is a free plussing unit (For an unfortunate SB1 cost) it's worth running no matter what. That is, unless Monarch.

Llew? Oh, why would you run that bastard when you have a much better 10k booster?

Zorron at 4 is never bad, no matter what Liberator deck you use. It helps Bruno hit high numbers, gives you soul, fixes bad calls, it can just do about everything.

When G-BT03 comes out, we're offered with quite a few solid units. One is Belinus. It's an unfortunate GB1, but it gives +2k to two units. So, if your Vanguard is in Legion, you can give them +4k (Give 2k to the Leader, then 2k to the mate) if it even matters.

Another G-BT03 offer for us is Cordelia. This is another great card. It fills up the drop (Legion), fixes a call, and powers up Bruno. If you go second, you can call him to rush, then use the skill to "replenish" your RGs.

drop & draw, Budget PG, unflipper from the soul.

Grade 0

Again, quite a few Starter options. First is Guido. This can call a RG, helping Core. Unfortunately this is only for Legion cards...

Then Koronagal is a sub-Bruno... for Legion only. If this was a 4k, and non-Legion restricted, then it would be great.

Cheer Up Trumpeter is a good card if you run something for it, like Monarch, or Garmore. It turns your Vanguard into a Bruno for one turn, so if you do use him, then you're betting on that one turn, or you don't have a Bruno. I guess you can use it outside your Starting Vanguard... Since I'm sure that you can hit maximum 110k or so with Core + Bruno + This.

Best Starter in the game. Early Pressure = good. If your opponent doesn't guard? Use the skill, and call Zorron, then attack again. If not, then call Bruno or anything useful. It's great.

Samba? Eh, I guess it works, but still. There are better stuff.

Grade 3 searcher, cheap temporary starter, 8k booster (I don't know why you'd want this but), another temporary starter, drop & draw.

Triggers? Usually 12 Crit is ideal, but Ketchgal is soo good, you need to run 4 of him. You can run 8 Crit, 4 Stand. You wanna run Draws? Eh, I guess draws work well with Core, but still, you need those Criticals... Okay, run 6 Crit 2 Draw 4 Stands then.

Grade 4

Cambell is an amazing card, I can't even say. Just that pressure + Extra attack is great. Run 4 in all GP decks. Then run 1-2 Scourge Point Dragon. You need to call Aglo/whatever that calls, to get up to 41k attack power or so, but it doesn't mean that you'll 100% gurantee those cards in the hand.

Grade 0
Grade 1:
Grade 2:
Grade 3:
Grade 4:

 Effectiveness: 7/10

Price: $60-70

Competetive: Maybe

Final Words: So Liberators used to be a part of my decks IRL (Until I've had my fun and tore it down) and I can assure you that this works very well, as long as you can stack Zorron on Zorron and Ketchgal on Ketchgal with Bruno. Core's crit effect is just a bonus added in there and the Strides are always nice to have so... Yeah....

The deck... Is somewhat Autopilot, I guess, but you still need experience to use it properly. Understanding is needed. I wouldn't, er, recommend it for competetive (Even if it can do good in competetive play) and more on casuals, but hey I'm not you, I can't choose for you.
