Budget Deck: Pale Moon

Best pic ever 10/10
Pale Moon circus, where the beasts try to eat their tamers as they get whipped, is a great clan. All the comboes and chains that this clan can pull off is great. The Star Sub-clan of this clan is- Silver Thorns! And this, is, practically the only Pale Moon build available as for now, since apparantly everything else sucks. I've heard a lot of people tell me that Generic Pale Moon just sucks. Eh, yeah it totally does (Sarcasm, while Silver Thorn is still better). Not that I'm complaining though. Rule #1 of Budgetfight Vanguard: Underrated is good.

So, firstly I need to talk about Dusk Illusionist, Robert. This card... Is.... Wow.... Great. I know that you're looking at me funny, but it's true. It's an amazing card. I mean, it's literally the greatest Toolbox of all time. You can divine a card by Soulcharging one. It's just great. Although it does get in the way of deck searching and drawing effects, it's just great.

Eh... Another toolbox that can be used with Robert is Amy, but meh, Robert's better, and I'm not sure if I want to commit to an entire lineup of Toolboxes. Well, you can rely on the Strides but still.

Grade 3

BAD BAD BAD.
So, the Grade 3 options are... Well, hard. Robert's 10k base will come back to haunt us someday, so we want to have a 11k unit, but there really aren't many of them... Okay, I'll go over the options one by one.

Firstly we have Bunny Queen Beast Tamer. While the Limit Break is really bad, the Second skill can be used for absolutely fantastic Toolboxing. On a 11k base. Ookay that works. Another options is Cracking Beast Tamer. This is the only Legion option Pale Moon has right now. Well, the effect is really good, but I'm really against the idea of running a 9k beaterstick Vanila Rear-Guard if not in Legion. Actually, Cracking Beast Tamer could be used for her second skill (Very good)...

Nightmare Summoner, Raqiel is okay. I mean, that 5k doesn't seem like much but come on people. Consistent unconditional 5k to any unit is amazing. And the second skill is quite useful. Do not use this with Cracking Beast Tamer. Counterblast usage.

Fabulous!
Miracle Pop, Eva is our Break Ride. It can help extend attacks, so it's decent, but it's a Break Ride. You need to wait in a long line before you can buy it, and you don't even know if it's worth it or not.

Another option is Nightmare Doll, Alice. This is the Midnight Bunny/Mirror Demon clone for Grade 3. While it is a 10k, it does come useful from time to time.

Starlight Melody Tamer, Farah (Finally a 11k) can pay a CB of 1 and a Persona Blast to superior call one unit from the soul, and give it a power boost of 3k. While this doesn't seem like much, it washes (Not including power boost that'll probably be meaningless) but! Can activate comboes. You can try out some decent stuff.

Grade 2
Gargantuar

Barking Cerberus is our little Vanila, and is actually usable because of all the low-powered boosters that I'll be discussing for in a while.

Crimson Beast Tamer is our little 11k beaterstick. Well, it can't really be disposed as a trash, but won't be heavily recommended either.

Dancing Princess of the Night Sky. I know all these 10k and 8k powered units hurt but this is an exception. It can search the deck for any card, and put it into the soul. It's another great Toolboxing unit. Run at least 3.

Nitro Juggler is a on-call SC1 card, which... I dunno how useful it'll be in the deck, but still.

Jumping Jill is sorta meh... I mean 12k attacker for one turn isn't that impressive at all. I guess you can combine this with Farah to make a 21k collumn but still.

Miss Direction isn't Meh, but isn't good either.

Here, we're talking about the noobtraps and trash. First is the trash. Mirror Demon is freaking trash for that 8k and bad pressure (It's good, but that CB1 cost is bad), and just makes a horrible option. The noobtrap is.... Surprise! Peek-a-boo. It always was a noobtrap, and is now more than ever that 11k meta is stronger than ever. At first look, it's a +1, but it's freaking Murakumo stuff. Call him for one turn, and he disappears the next. He should be counted as a +0.5. Then, he needs to Soulblast. EVERY TURN. This is horribly bad for Pale Moons. A soulbkast or two won't hurt, but this makes it 3 if you use hi 3 times (Very likely), 4 if you use him 4 times, and 10 if you use him 10 times. He completely invalidates Robert's toolboxing. Then what do you get? A horrible 8k crap attacker beaterstick. This deck has a lot of Grade 1 options, there are no spaces for 8k Vanilas, so this'll never hit the Vanguard for 2 or more stages. Even worse, if you call him from hand, he's a straight up -1. Don't run no matter what.

Grade 1

Tsundere Bunny!
So, firstly, Brassie Bunny is soooooooo underrated. It's actually really good. It's worth running. Really. This and Miss Direction are Peek-a-Boo Version 2.0, which is actually better.

Eh, Bull's Eye, Mia is a pressure unit, but it won't apply that much pressure, and you have better options. I'm not sure if I'll run this.

People usually see Egg Juggler and say "Meh, Pale Moon needs that soul" and dismisses it as bad. Bad... Bad? This is amazing! Why would people say that it's bad? It's second most spammable Dindrane clone in existance... And you always have a unit or two that you don't like in your soul (Triggers) and as I said, Hand is love, Hand is life.

Jumping Glenn is decent... I guess? Actually no, it's really unneccesary. A 10k booster is useless as hell with all these 10k base units and it's only for one turn. Bad.

Oh hey, a really decent card. Magician of Quantum Mechanics is great. Forgetting that 6k power, he can help spam Egg Juggler (And bring out Bunny at the same time) for every single turn. It's really good. People it's just good. Don't defy logic.

Midnight Bunny is our pressure unit and a decent attack extender. It's a staple in every single Pale Moon deck (Aside from Silver Thorn).

Turquoise Beast Tamer  manages to become a conditional 9k booster, which is useless in this deck. I mean... What are you gonna use that 9k for?

Skull Juggler is okay?

Ah, I've saved the best for last. Purple Trapezist is a great card. It really is. It can call out Egg Juggler, and do some insane comboes (I mean, come on. It's Pale Moon). And also, I don't care how so call this during the battle phase behind an attacker. Bam! You instantly stand a collumn. It's just pure great. Trust me. Eh.... 4 might be overkill, but still. It's not usable, it's a Staple.

Grade 0

Stealth Hand!
So, starters. We have Two very solid starter options. The first is Smiling Presenter, and the other is Girl Who Crossed the Gap. Girl can call a unit out (Trapezist insane combo time!) and Smiling Presenter is a decent toolboxing unit. Now, Girl gets the upper hand because Calling > Toolboxing, but in the end it's up to preference.

I guess I can discuss the noobtrap starter. I'm pointing at Hades Ringmaster. Smiling Presenter does it better (Forget the Counterblast. This is just bad) and also acts as a 5k booster. Why would anyone run this guy? This can go die in a fire for all I care.

Oh hey, a really interesting unit. Lark Pigeon is a bad starter option because all it does is saving you in a critical moment, but I guess 1-2 can be used as tech-in in the deck. It is useful in certain situations, and can completely screw up your opponent's math calculations. Overall, it's a truely trolly card.

Trigger lineup? I personally found draws to be effective, but criticals helped the deck become more Aggressive. I haven't tested with Stands yet, but I can guess that it'll work well. Try out all of them.

Note: I highly support building your own decks and doing your own testings. Please do not straight out use this deck, but use it as a base to start and spread out and make your own Version.

Grade 4:

Effectiveness: 6/10

Price: $10-20

Competetive: No

Final Words: On paper, this looks like a real mess. I know. But if you try it out, it really becomes fun to try out. This is really fun to use and cheap, but isn't meant for competetive play. Why? Because, well, obviously Siver Thorn is better, and G-PM support is coming out soon (In a TD) so this really isn't worth using now (Unless you want a real challenge), and should be just for fun. Defenitely not autopilot and needs a bit of experience with the deck for it to work properly (If it would, at all). Competetive or not I don't know but it is, certainly 100% fit for casual play.
