The 16-Card G-Zone
The first thing I need to address is the idea that 16 cards in the G-Zone was too big of an increase. I thought so too until someone brought up the fact that G-Guardians make games last longer. Longer games means more turns, and more turns means more times you are going to have to Stride. Those extra slots in the G-Zone will help address the problem of running out of Stride units, as well as mitigate the heavy cost of G-Assist. The only problem I have now of the 16-Card G-Zone is that there are now 8 more slots that I have to fill-in, which in turn will make all decks inherently a bit more expensive...
Oh well. At least Atmos is dirt cheap.
Speaking of filling in the slots, what will we be allocating to the extra 8 slots in the G-Zone? Obviously 4-6 of the slots will be going over to G-Guardians, so that leaves us with about 2-4 Slots left.
Firstly, we can just bump up the amounts of any cards in the G-Zone that are being run at less than 4 or run a few G-Units that couldn't make the cut due to the lack of space.
For example, my Gear Chronicle deck at the moment has a G-Zone that looks like this:
2x Chronoscommand Revolution
1x Chronoscommand Dragon
2x Metallica Phoenix
1x Faterider Dragon
1x Upheaval Pegasus
1x Fiery March Colossus
Now, I'll be adding in an extra Faterider, Lost Age, and of course G-Guardians:
2x Chronoscommand Revolution
1x Chronoscommand Dragon
2x Metallica Phoenix
2x Faterider Dragon
1x Upheaval Pegasus
1x Fiery March Colossus
1x Lost Age Dragon
4x Uluru
1x Dismel
1x Sycrew
Secondly, there are new units that release in the new Fighters Collection, like Iresist Dragon, Khristos, and Frederick, that are just amazing and deserve a few spots in our G-Zone lineup.
The third option is running a bunch of Atmos or something... But I don't really recommend it.
Anyways, if any of you guys need specific help on your G-Zones don't be afraid to ask down in the comments! I'll also be updating blogs once Fighters Collection 2016 hits the shelves so older blogs don't fall too behind.
See you in the next one!

I am glad G guards are cheap as dirt 2$ a piece :)
ReplyDeleteReally? Expected them to be less, given the fact that they are FC RRs.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, it's still cheap and that's always a good thing.
