Update Deck: Dimension Police (Enigmans)

It's been a year since this blog started. Damn. And can we all thank Tachi for starting it?

Anyhow, Enigmans were where this blog started and today I want to give them a little bit of love.

Summon your courage, my invincible superman!
The new support for Enigmans in GBT-07, made the deck SOOOOOO much more consistent. You will never miss the ride chain in this deck. Never. Just three cards in the set made this deck that much more consistent. And they are all common. Perfect. Just perfect. If you still have your Enigman deck from the first blog it's time to bring it back out.

Before we get started, lets first talk about the new support we got. They are Enigman Warm, Enigman Squall, and Enigman Crescent. Enigman Warm's just a trigger with the Enigman name, so not much to say about it, but the other two cards are something else. Enigman Squall and Crescent are treated as Enigman Ripple and Wave respectively while on the Vanguard Circle or Soul. Let me repeat that: They are treated as Enigman Ripple and Enigman Wave. You can literally run two playsets of both the Grade 1 and Grade 2 of the Enigman ride chain. This makes sure that you will never miss the ride chain.
Other than those cards... there's honestly nothing else to talk about so this one is gonna be really brief.

If you want more details check out Tachi's original Enigman blog here.

Grade 3
4 Enigman Storm and 4 Enigman Tornado, no questions asked.

Grade 2
Some amount of Enigman Wave. You don't really need 4, since Flow searches him out and you have two ride targets for Flow's searching skill. You also have Enigman Crescent, which is treated as Enigman Wave. Enigman Crescent also has a secondary skill that gives a Glory skill to Tornado or Storm while at 5 Damage. A Glory skill... for an on-hit restander or 2-crit vanguard... Seems balanced enough. Enigman Night Sky's another good card that gives +4000 to your Vanguard, which is always lovely in Dimension Police in general.

Grade 1
4 Ripple and 4 Squall for Ride Chain consistency. Then throw in a few Clouds to fix your soul for even more consistency.

Stride Fodder's aren't really needed in this deck, but are an option. Also, good luck with the PGs.

Grade 0
Enigman Flow as starter. The trigger lineup should have 4 Sunset and 4 Warm for the name and Sunset's amazing skill. The rest can be whatever you want it to be.

Grade 4
Omega, X-Falcon, and Cross Ray are your pressure unit for after you use Enigman Tornado. X-Rogue and X-Phoenix are your draw engines. If you have any X-Gallop you can use them, I guess.

4 Patriot. Carivou isn't really needed in this deck, but you could put it in if you want.

Decklist:
NOTE: This is only an example decklist and should only be used as a base. I recommended that you create your own decklist through your own testing. I found this decklist to fit me, but it is up to you to find a decklist that fits you.

1x Enigman Flow
16x Triggers of Choice (4 Enigman Sunset, 4 Enigman Warm)

Grade 1:
4x PG of Choice
4x Enigman Squall
4x Enigman Ripple
3x Enigman Cloud

Grade 2:
4x Enigman Night Sky
4x Enigman Crescent
2x Enigman Wave

Grade 3:
4x Enigman Tornado
4x Enigman Storm

Grade 4:
3x Dark Superhuman, Omega
3x Cosmic Hero, X-Falcon
2x Super Giant of Light, Enigman Crossray
2x Cosmic Hero, X-Rogue
2x Cosmic Hero, X-Phoenix
4x Enigman Patriot

Effectiveness: 7.5/10

Price: $50-55

Competitive: Maybe

Final Words: Unfortunately Storm jumped up to $10 recently, but still is great for a budget deck. This deck really brings back the old days of Vanguard(with a little bit of an extra punch!) and is really fun to use. Although it's not going to be seen in the competitive scene anytime soon it's great to see that Bushiroad's still giving our favorite Aliens some more support.

Anyhow, see you on the next one!

  1. I think your price is a bit off. I can't find Enigman storm to be anywhere near 40-50 dollars for a playset. Much less an entire deck.

    1. Storm's about $10 each online, and if you assume that the PGs are Sunny, which is at about $0.50, then the deck should be about $40-45. The rest of the deck is commons and rares so it shouldn't be more than 50. I guess it's still a bit off, so ill fix it later.
