Deck Spotlight: Gunmen and Cats (Cat Butler)

Cat Butler is so broke I don't even know.
Best Butler
Over in Japan, back in Legion era, Cat Butler was the most broken card in the game. The cheapest restand available at the time. Even with the G2 and lower restriction it's one godly card. Hell, he even got hit because of it in Japan format. A deck focused on abusing Cat Butler would work really, really well and be very, very potent.

And that's what I have here today.

Grade 0:
1x Extreme Battler, Hajimal
4x Cat Butler
16x Critical Trigggers

Grade 1:
4x Screamin' and Dancin Announcer, Shout
4x Tough Boy
4x Extreme Battler, Kendhol
3x Claydoll Mechanic

Grade 2:
4x Brutal Jack
4x Cup Bowler
3x Hungry Dumpty
3x King of Sword

So Dapper!
Bringin' back the Brutal Jack.

Anyways, the deck abuses Brutal Jack's 11k defensive number while still being able to use Cat Butler's skill. Hungry Dumpty and Claydoll Mechanic are here to free up counterblast for Jack's restraint.
King of Sword and Cup Bowler are both nice secondary units to ride into in case Jack is not appropriate for the situation. King of Sword's 10k defensive is great and Cup Bowler's power boost is pretty significant during rush.

Two 8k vanilla Grade 1's make a 16k magic number column. Nuff said.

Shout's just amazing for filtering out your hand of triggers for a stronger rush game.

Hajimal, since there's nothing better, honestly.

Potential Changes:

There's three other ways you can go about Cat Butler builds: Beast Deities, Blaus, or Raizers; four if counting BlauRaizers.
Beast Deity builds focus on Brainy Papio's on-hit pressure to complement Cat Butler's skill, as well as the various cards that plus off of restanding, like Dragotwist and Max Beat. Jackalord's just perfect for rush and acts like a one turn Tidal Assault. After some waiting, you can ride into Ethics Buster Extreme for a brutal finish, with the option to Stride into Catastrophe if the occasion calls for it.

Blau Butler builds abuse the various rearguards that trigger on vanguard hit to pressure your opponent to guard. And if they do guard the vanguard attack, Cat Butler's here to restand the vanguard for another swing. It's a pretty good win-win situation. Just like Extreme, Stern/Galaxy Blaukluger can be put in as a restanding finisher, albeit it does lose it's benefits with Cat Butler

Raizers are just dirty with Butler. Rush hard from Grades 1-3 and Legion. Once you Legion, just let your buddy Cat Butler gain you free advantage from swings. Raizers can also be mixed in with Blau Butler builds. To do so, your Grade 0-2 lineup should include various Blaus and the good stuff like Leprechaun and Mars, with a Raizer G3 and it's mate.

Note: These changes increase the price of the deck substantialy

Effectiveness: 8/10

Price: $10-15

Competitive: As long as your locals ain't contested with CBD players

Final Words: Really fun deck that has a special spot in my heart(the only rush deck that I bothered to build, as a matter of fact). As I said, it can do pretty well as long as you don't have to go around playing against CBD decks 24/7, but overall it does good.

Anyhow, see you in the next one! And happy first day of Fall!(I hope I got that right)
