The young King of Knights! |
So Verz was looking through the Japanese recent toppings and came across a Royal Paladin deck list that ran the original Gancelot and Alfred Early. He shared it with the guys on Discord and I thought the deck was pretty silly and only topped because of the pilot and trigger checks, but after giving it some thought I saw how it could actually work well. The actual deck was pretty wonky, since it was a Japanese deck list, so I changed it a bit to fit me. And to make it budget.
For you Royal Paladin players who wish to revive your old cards, I present to you The Real OG Royal Paladins!

Only Main 1 |
Elron is an amazing starter that toolboxes anything G2 and below with Alfred. If you don't want to use Elron, Wingal Brave is a valid option if you make some space for more Blaster G1s.
Standard 12 Crit 4 Heal lineup, with 4 Floral Paladin Flogal.
Obvious playset of Perfect Guards. Stride Fodder is there for consistency.
Rendgal is here as a target for Javelin Larousse's call and helps to make columns.
1 Blaster Blade. Why? Because Real OG Royal Paladin players only main 1 Blaster Blade.
Larousse is either extra battle phase attacks or hand-filtering for better boosters/attackers. Also helps that he is a Llew target if you decide to run Llew.
Twin Sword is Twin Sword. It's amazing, it comes from a TD. Perfect 2-of.
Gancelot to search out Blaster Blade and Alfred Early to call it out. The lone copy of Altmile is to search it with Sicilus in case you don't ride Blaster Blade.
The G-Zone is a pretty standard budget Royal Paladin G-Zone, with the addition of 4 Madew to work with Alfred Early's 10k base. If money allows, Altmile and Holy Squire Dragon can be added.
Effectiveness: 6/10
Price: $30-35
Competitive: No
Final Words: While it's still a gimmicky, fan favorite deck to the core, it's still a super fun deck to play and hits you with the nostalgia pretty hard. If you think the deck could be improved on, put your opinions down in the comments section below.
Side Notes: Hammsuke deck should come soon for you people who wanted it... hopefully. If not soon, then sooner or later.
Anyhow, see you in the next one!

lol. Anyways pretty excited about the Hammsuke deck. Oh right there is the new dark irregular support for 'Nightmareland' and its pretty defensive too. During your last dark irregular post (BladeWing) it got a price boost which stopped me from building it. The grade 3 nightmareland skill is when it is attacking or being attacked cb 1 and it gains 1000 for each nightmareland card in your soul, pretty defensive right :D There is also the new crit, svg, grade 1 and 2. So i was wondering if u could build a deck list for us!PLS p-p
