Budget Deck: Aqua Force (Blue Wave)

Blue Wave Fusion!
Ooh boy, I've been waiting for the day I could write about this.

Blue Waves are probably the best Aqua Force build at the moment(excluding the Ripple supremacy, of course). With massive draw power, combo attacks, and pressure Blue Waves are just amazing. I remember when they first released and how much sheer power they had.

To top it all off, a bunch of the Blue Wave stuff went down a lot in price. Anger-boil's around $6 and Tetra-boil's around $8.

Too bad Aqua Force in general is weak as hell in competitive play at the moment.

Whatever. Blue Waves are amazing, still, and with the new wave of Aqua Force support coming in G-BT09 I believe that they'll be a strong contender.

Grade 3

Anger-boil is amazing. Free restanding rearguards is amazing. Honestly a Mini-Lambros. He's gonna be your main ride target every game.

Tetra-drive's the alternative Blue Wave backup/boss. One of the few restanders that doesn't minus.

Tech-in Thavas for use with Nikki. There's also a hybrid build that runs Anger-boil with Thavas as a backup ride, if you want to experiment with that.

Skyros is Skyros. Resist is a essential in Aqua Force and I recommend you at least run 1-2. The Grade 3 searching skill is also really useful in case you misride.

Grade 2

Tidal Assault, like every other Aqua Force deck. If you have the money, that is.

Foivos is an amazing card that holds Blue Wave together. Makes Wave combos so much easier to get to. Early rush is 10/10, although Tidal does the early Rush better. Foivos is also significant late game, when compared to Tidal. Having access to both in this deck is just great.

Ianis for the on-hit draw.

Magnum Assault, Calista, Nektaros, and Couple Dagger for even more multi-attacks.

Grade 1

PGs mandatory. Stride Fodders if you'd like.

Blue Wave Shooter for free plus. Gives you some more discard fodder for your restanders.

Stacia is such a nice card for all Aqua Force decks. Helps make working with Wave easier and gives you the option to kill off front row.

Seagull Soldier to make Tidal useful late game. Penguin Soldier to put the soul to use.

Grade 0

Two units. Dagger Master and Brutal Trooper. Drawqua Force at it's finest. The amount of draw you get with these two is just ridiculous. Puts all of the older Bubble-edge decks to shame. Brutal Trooper also stacks deck with more crits.

Including Brutal Trooper, 12 Crit is best for the restanding Crit pressure. Draws are an option, though, and works well with Tetra-drive and Tetra-boil.

Grade 4

Drawing cards all
day every day
Tetra-boil best restanding stride everrrr. No minus? Keeps all trigger checks? Works amazingly with Dagger Master and Brutal Trooper? Yes please. Sadly, it needs rearguards to work, but it's Aqua Force so if you have no rearguards you should already be in the scooping phase.

Commander Thavas is nice if you have 'em. Same with Lambros.

Khristos and Tidal Bore are good first strides and can both fill space for your G-Zone.

For now, the only G-Guard we have is Flotia. Hopefully we'll get better more G-Guards in the next... wave of support. We have Dizmel and Scryew as options, still, if you can afford them.

Sebreeze is nice to have, but not mandatory.

Decklist:
NOTE: This is only an example decklist and should only be used as a base. I recommended that you create your own decklist through your own testing. I found this decklist to fit me, but it is up to you to find a decklist that fits you.

1x Blue Wave Dragon, Dagger Master Dracokid
16x Triggers of Choice (4x Blue Wave Soldier, Brutal Trooper)

Grade 1:
4x Perfect Guard of Choice

3x Blue Wave Soldier, Bright Shooter
2x Battle Siren, Stacia

Grade 2:
4x Blue Wave Marine General, Foivos
4x Tidal Assault/Couple Dagger Sailor
3x Magnum Assault

Grade 3:
4x Blue Wave Dragon, Anger-boil Dragon
3x Blue Wave Dragon, Tetra-drive Dragon/Jockey of the Great Sea, Skyros
1x One Who Surpasses the Storm, Thavas
OR
4x Blue Wave Dragon, Anger-boil Dragon
4x One Who Surpasses the Storm, Thavas

Grade 4:
4x Blue Wave Marshal Dragon,  Tetra-boil Dragon
4x Marine General of the Heavenly Scales, Tidal-bore Dragon
2x Marine General of the Heavenly Silk, Christos
2x Marine General of the Heavenly Silk, Aristotle
4x Guard Leader of Sky and Water, Flotia

Efficiency: 8.5/10

Price: $90-110

Competitive: Yes

Final Words: While the deck is really strong and can draw a huge hand, alongside strong attacks, it flops against Kagero and Link Joker(albeit smart play can get you through). Really strong and really fun. Worth the price, I'd say, and a worthy investment for the new Aqua Force support coming in.

Anyhow, see you in the next one!

  1. Hey there is there any chance you all could make a narukami brawler deck? I'd love to see what you could do and I know narukami doesn't get a lot of love!
