I'm pretty hyped for Touken's second wave of support. I've been expecting new Touken support now that G-Guardians are a thing, but the quality stuff that Bushi made wasn't expected at all. This TD, for example, has a huge amount of value.
Higeriki's an ok stride. Grade 3 checker for +5000 to a rearguard. Could be used as a first stride and can be a good space filler. Comes at 4 too, which is interesting.
Akashi Kuniyuki has a Soulblast +3000 on attack on an 11k base. 21k Magic columns with any 7k booster is great. And considering how easy it is to get soul in this clan, this card is completely welcome. I'd personally use it in my budget builds. Again, comes at four.
Kogitsunemaru Toku is a great card. Stride Skill Draw 1 Soulcharge 1 is simple as hell, but pretty damn good. And you know how many copies? Four.
Now where's the random, crappy Grade 3? Wait, there isn't one? Oh. Sick.
Ookurikara and Gotou Toushirou. 10k and 8k standard vanillas.
Izuminokami Kanesada is cheap back row bounce and gets +3000. Not bad. Makes 21k columns with 9k boosters as well.
Doudanuki Masakuni is a basic 12k beater, but has Shinken Hissatsu so he doesn't become vanilla when grade stalled.
Nagasone Kotetsu gets +3000 whenever another rearguard attacks... So basically another 12k beater(disregarding stand triggers).
You should start seeing a trend here.
Imanitsuguri's the clan Stride Fodder. That's pretty good, considering it's in a TD. But wait. It comes at four copies? Oh shit, that's some crazy staple value.
Horikawa Kunihiro becomes an 11k beater/booster on-call until end of turn. It's not bad, considering how the clan works. The soul's good too.
The vanilla PG comes at three. Three. Staple. Value. Just get one more PG from anywhere and you're set.
Hakata Toushirou is the new starter in the TD and frankly... It sucks. It's a mix between Ambrosius and Red-pulse. But guess what? You're guaranteed to minus with this. The only good side to this is that it has 5k base, which is pointless if you're gonna use its skill. Just... use one of the other starters available to you.
Rainbow Triggers, but welcome since it makes getting a set of triggers easier. The triggers have pretty nice art too.
Verdict: Amazing Trial Deck. It has great staple value, with 4 Stride Fodders, 4 of each Grade 3, and 3 Perfect Guards. It's a great deck for casual and competitive players who want to start up a Touken deck. I recommend this as a purchase for those who want to start playing Touken, but don't really recommend it for those who want to upgrade their existing TD. I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't come with G-Guardians, but I'm content with the amount of value the deck has already.
Will probably make a "How To Upgrade" post or a general Touken post soon.
Anyhow, see you in the next one!
